Bathrooms

Bath and shower suites can be installed on a straight swap basis or as part of a full bathroom re-design.

There is now such a wide range of baths, shower enclosures, sanitary ware and bathroom furniture that the ideal bathroom can be designed for any taste and pocket. Updating your bathroom need not involve panic-inducing expense. A plain suite can be lifted by some special taps and some well chosen tiling. A simple tiling scheme can be used to complement the lines of a more expensive suite.

The availability of reasonably priced macerator units means that the extra toilet/shower room in the attic or cellar is a now a practical option for many homes.

Before & After

These pictures were taken in a basement shower room in a converted house in London. The original fitters had done as basic a job as possible leaving the room looking cramped and dingy with no storage space.

Toilet with exposed macerator and pipework. New toilet. Sink with exposed pipework. New sink.

The new owner wanted something clean and simple. The old sink was replaced with a new vanity unit from Ikea. The new macerator and toilet cistern was hidden behind a (removable) false wall and the original toilet pan replace by a back to the wall unit bought locally. The original shower was removed and replaced with a mixer and power shower unit.
